Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
As we begin the month of February, here are a few updates that are happening in our classroom!
Curriculum Corner:
Math
We have started our Geometry and Spatial Sense unit. We will continue to learn to identify and describe different shapes and angles, compare 2D and 3D shapes using their attributes. Later this month, we will start our Number Sense and Numeration unit of the operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Language
In Writing, we are going to start paragraph writing with introduction, 3 ideas and conclusion following the writing process; in Reading we will continue to learn different comprehension strategies.
Science
In Science, we are working on applying what we’ve learned about forces and movement to creating a toy that uses a few of these forces. Information coming home soon.
Health
In Health, we will start learning about healthy eating.

Tuesday, February 14, 2017- Child Soldier Initiative fundraiser Dance-a-thon
Wednesday, February 15, 2017 – Report cards go home.
Monday, February 20, 2017- Family Day – No school.
Friday, February 24, 2017- Winit assembly
